Head Coach/Dir. Football Ops/Off. Coordinator jarroddegeorgia@scbandits.com Jarrod DeGeorgia was born in Lompoc, Ca where he played three years on the varsity football team. His running back was Napolean Kaufman, who had a successful career with the Oakland Raiders. After high school he went on to play in Junior College in Santa Barbara where he was an All American. In 1994 DeGeorgia was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals for baseball. In 1995, he was named Western State Conference Player of the Year. He went on to Wayne State to play on a football scholarship. In 1996, the offense was ranked number two in the nation. He set NCAA records in one game when he went 56-76 for 699 yds against Drake University.
His wife, Melissa, is from Sioux City, and they have two beautiful children, Siena Rae and Jayce Ryder.

Assistant Coach/WR/DB/LB Andy Yost begins his first season with the Bandits and will serve as the wide receivers and defensive backs coach. Yost will also enter his fourth year as head coach for West Sioux High School in Hawarden, Iowa. Prior to coming to West Sioux, Yost was the head coach for the 2005 National Champion Hamar Ruins of the Norwegian American Football League in Norway. Before that, Yost had coaching stints at Washington & Jefferson College in Washington, PA, Nampa High School in Nampa, ID, Creighton Prep High School in Omaha, NE, and Dell Rapids St. Mary High School in Dell Rapids, SD.
Yost played college football at Dakota State University in Madison, SD, where he was a four-year starter at tight end and SDIC All-Conference and team captain in 1993. He played high school football at Beresford High School and was a member of the Class 11-B 1987 South Dakota State Championship team.

OL/DL Jason Walding joins the Bandits as Offensive and Defensive Line Coach and Special Teams Coordinator. This will be his third season with the Bandits, with previous experience as the OL/DL coach in 2003, and in the same capacity with the Bandits playoff team of 2006. Walding has served as the Offensive Line coach at South Sioux City High School since 2005. Prior to joining the South Sioux City staff, Walding spent four years coaching football at Dakota Valley in North Sioux City, SD. He graduated from Bellevue University with a degree in Business Administration of Technical Studies, and attended Bishop Heelan Catholic High School in Sioux City where he graduated in 1990. He was a member of the Bishop Heelan 1988 Iowa Class 4A Semi-Final, and 1989 Iowa Class 4A State Runner Up teams. Walding was born and raised in Sioux City, Iowa. He and his wife Joni have been married for 11 years and live in Dakota Dunes, SD with their two children, Mollie and Jaxon.

Defensive Coordinator In 2007 Mike Winklepleck coached at Briar Cliff University, where he was the secondary coach. Before coming to Briar Cliff he served as Bishop Heelan Catholic High Schools defensive coordinator in 2006. Winklepleck, a graduate of Morningside College, played both football and baseball in college. As a four year starter in the Mustangs defensive secondary, Winklepleck was a three-time all-conference defensive back. He also earned honorable mention All-American defensive back during his sophomore and senior seasons. Winklepleck received the honor of team captain for two years and was voted most valuable defensive back two consecutive years. In 2004, he was voted second team All-American and defensive team MVP. He graduated as Morningsides all-time leader in career interceptions with 20. Winkleplecks baseball honors include team MVP in 2003 and 2005. During his 2004 baseball season with the Mustangs as a starting outfielder, he earned second team all-conference. In 2005, Winklepleck received honorable mention All-American and first team all-conference. In December 2006, Winklepleck completed his Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education. Winklepleck also played for the Sioux City Bandits in 2006 and 2007. After being sidelined with an injury in 2007, he helped out with the secondary and linebackers for the Bandits. Mike Winklepleck currently lives in Sioux City, Iowa with his wife Kari Winklepleck and teaches at North High School.

Coaching Intern Andrew Mather is from Omaha, NE and graduated from Morningside College with a degree in Elementary/Special Education. He was a student assistant coach at Morningside College for three years (Running Backs/Deffensive Line) before recently serving as the Director of Football Operations. Mather currently teaches in South Sioux City, NE.
